It's almost mid March, March break upon us soon...weather really warming in Toronto, days are longer and sunnier, folks already doing their walks in shorts, clocks to spring forward 1 hour this weekend...all clear signs that a most kind winter is behind us...a new season upon us...almost...yet not a word or two of what we can expect for April from our beloved Mint...? Anybody?

My enthusiasm for RCM coins waned after last year's blow out prices, but after the last two hits, Pysanka and Cherry Blossoms, I'm actually getting excited about the next release. Will we get another hit? Only 16 days to go for the next pre-release.

Someone on this or the other forum mention some odd or irregular shaped coins. Last year we had the Maple Leaf shaped coin and this year an egg shaped coin. So some more unusual shaped coins.
BTW, Post Offices should be getting their ordering brochure around now. Don't need to wait 16 days if someone will leak the info.

Quote: but after the last two hits, Pysanka and Cherry Blossoms, I'm actually getting excited about the next release. Imo, only if you liked these coins, they are real hits. For me they "disapointing hits" - the Pysanka I didn't like the design, and the "Cherry Blossom" - the hit, that brings no benefits (as someone else said here - doesn't worth making $10). So...since I do not buy the coins just because they "hot", had to skip. But anyway, will agree, it is nice that RCM mints coins that people like, and looking forward April. 50 cents roll annual special edition has to be released as well

The expected items of April: 2016 50c roll - HTF in change coins, distributed in some sets or rolls. 2016 Maple Leaf (Forever) 1/2 oz silver coin - till RCM will discontinue this simple, inexpensive and elegant coin.

Looks like there will be a MC Exclusive Coin coming out in April. Received this from my rep regarding MC status: Quote: *Instant Access to Exclusive Coins:* Do you remember the Renewed Silver Dollar - 2oz Voyageur coin? This coin is the perfect example of Exclusive Coins you can expect to have instant access to by being in the 4th and 5th tier of the Masters Club. These are extremely low mintage, very affordable and attractive coins. These coins also have a tendency to greatly appreciate on the aftermarket making them highly popular. This surge in popularity often means that these rare opportunity coins sell-out to the 4th and 5th tier on the first day, causing an instant sell-out to the three tiers below. Being in the 4th and 5th tier really gives you the best opportunity to obtain these highly collectible items, so don't miss out! Beyond the Renewed Silver Dollar series, we do have other exciting series soon to be released which will feature similar characteristics such as low mintages, affordability and above all, true uniqueness. Look for one of these exclusive coins in the April release!

MoneyPenney according to RCM's website it indicates 3 Master Club levels, silver $1000, gold $1,500 and platinum $2000. Both gold and platinum MC members are given "Exclusive access to select coins". So I'm curious what's the 4th and 5th tier?

This is how the e-mail defined the tiers. They seem to be redefining access to exclusive coins. It's "instant" for $5k or more. Under that, you get whatever is left over despite what the website says. Frankly, I laughed all the way through the e-mail. Especially the suggestion that I should run out and spend a few thousand dollars in the next 3 months just to get access to these 'exclusive' coins.

Thanks for the information CC. I'd be laughing too although I'd think RCM knows their market well enough to predict that others will bite.

So how many tier 4 folks here :) come on you big spenders... Quote: If you are interested in maintaining your current benefits, as well as any new benefits of your current tier in the next cycle, you would simply need to spend $517.7 between now and June 30th 2016. Haha, time for me to ask my rep to add some $100 for $100 coins for me then cash them out to the bank. :)

This part is funny. The Mint itself sends a message, that their exclusive coins are targeted to resell. But where is the logic, to spend annually thousands and have opportunity to get a return CAD 300-400 by re-selling one coin?

If someone have a high limit on their credit card with a good cash back and a bank that willing to take $x for $x, it's not bad for risk free money. Yes it involve you taking the coins to the bank but like I said, if you find a bank that willing to take them without hassle and you get these rare coins. Not that bad of a deal really as you are not really spend those thousand of dollar (you get them back once you deposit them to the bank).
