There is no such thing as PL Loonies.
Apparently the loonies in sets are now Business Strike. Have been since 2011. Sorta crappy :( I wish PL could return. I miss their mirror finish.
So knock it down to 11 Loonies.

Eleven so far this year? Yikes! I've tossed together a loonie collection, beginning in 1987, but it's stringently limited to only circulation and PL loons, commemoratives and varieties thereof. No babies, weddings, holiday or birthdays celebrations happening amongst my loonie-birds!
Luc, do you collect each and every type?

Yea the main focus of my collection has shifted to Loonies Twoonies and SDs, the celebration Loonies only started in 2014 so it's not so bad, well there are the 06-07-08 baby out there - staying away from NCLT unless it's something that really catches my eye (like my Avatar) I've pretty much got the 20th century circulation coins covered - other than a couple key date coins - they're not high grade but they are identifiable. I may revisit and improve my early silver and still need many Vickies but it's just getting too expensive.
oops almost forgot - and there's the banknote collection

I guess we'll be adding the Lucky Loonie to that list a regular and I'm assuming a silver version

Seems like a very diverse collection, always keeps it interesting. And yes indeed, yet another loonie makes for an even dozen so far this year.
By the way, what coin is your Avatar? It's very unique and creative.

I've been Into quarters for Canada day since 2000 and when they switched to loonies in the set I didn't have the heart to follow suit. There's just too much too fast anymore. I decided to collect loonies but I'm saving them up for a lakefront cottage instead this year. I think the switch to the loonie gives a bigger canvas yet I too would go broke trying to keep up with all that I like.

Quote: well there are the 06-07-08 baby out there That series with the Tin Cans and CDs and rattles, blocks and teddy bear silver loonies is hugely expensive. Gold Plated Rattle dollar from 2007 is nice for $750.
