Dated 1961, and appears to be copper or brass/bronze. JFK on one side, White House on the other.

Has a loop like a watch fob or for a medal chain.

Any information appreciated!

Obviously made as a hanger. What it hung on is purely conjecture at this point. This could very well be something that was produced after his assassination as there was a huge industry in producing mementos of JFK after his death.

Key chains, plates, ash trays, wall hangers, framed photos, pens and pencils, and on and on. If it could have a picture of JFK on it, it may have been produced for sale AFTER his death.

When I buy estates that include items from the early to mid 60's period it is almost a guarantee that there will be one or more items with JFK on it.

Agreed; I found it strange that the only date is 1961, as most "mementos" I have seen tend to include the date of the event (Nov.22 1963) in some form. I was thinking this might be an inauguration souvenir or some other related issue.
