I don't get good vibes from it. I have never seen a coin from the 1600s with lettering like that, and the cross is very sloppily executed. I suspect this is some sort of modern fantasy.

I am having a hard time seeing your picture... can you post a transcript of the legend?

Yes I agree that the design elements are not typical for late 17th century. The number 1 in the date looks like an upper case letter I. This does not make sense to me. Better pics, especially of the obv would help, but this looks like a modern fantasy token to me.

It does not look like it is gold either. The colour, assuming that it is accurate, is wrong, plus it looks like corrosion from copper or some kind of brass.
