Hey, new to forums and thought I would give this sub-forum a try. See photos! Already graded by NGC, but what do you guys think?

EF-45, AU-50 on a good day. I do like the tone.

AU details, highly questionable color.

I get that color to show at just the right angle in the light, otherwise just looks brown. I have another IH penny that is toned similar to this one, but more extreme. Must be from the older style cardboard sleeves it was stashed in.

Assuming that the color and surfaces are okay, I'd call it AU-55. The photo makes it hard to tell whether or not this is a problem coin. From the photo I'd say cleaned and re-colored, but if NGC said it was okay, I can't dispute that from the picture.

Was graded at NGC as MS 63 BN.
Is NGC too easy on older coins?

AU-55, seems to have all the diamonds.

same coin as pictured in original post. Old copper is hard to quantify luster and hard to capture in photos (or at least I don't know how to)

IHC's seem tough to grade as many are weakly struck. Some of them can literally have no detail (feathers, diamonds, etc...) but still be MS.
