Fun morning a few cups of coffee and a hand full of silver nickels..

1944-P WDDO-001 or unlisted as markers on reverse missing

there is only 1 listing for 1944-P DDO's on BVC
http://www2.briansvarietycoins.com/...ngs/view/456

It looked similar but lacks markers and star looks more doubled

bottoms pictures are just for lack of markers

I did a different angle so you can see the doubling on the star better

Is yours an earlier die state? There are a lot of similarities to be sure, but your coin shows less wear so maybe that's all I'm seeing.

Buddy, That is kind of my train of thought too, but was also hoping I wasnt alone on that.

It looks lds to me, but maybe that one on bvc is extremely late die state the reverse memorial part looks beyond toasted.

I can kind of see where stuff will happen later on to this die to end up as tht one.

I feel it is a later die state than BVCs coin. Note the area SE of cents where the marker should be? That area has a very heavy die flow pattern in that area.
