1938-P Lincoln Cent Class 6 DDO 1DO-001

Found this today researching searching 2x2 boxes for the 3rd or 4th time since I started collecting.

Each time I learned enough to find a few more

A 1938 Lincoln Cent with doubling on liberty, date and motto

Hopefully I am correct on it

Any comments suggestions or feedback welcome.

I'm not seeing class 6 doubling on your coin. It appears to be isolated machine damage on that area.

A side by side show more than the eye can transfer from one image to another from two sources. Thus the side by sides help put it all together better. IMOHO

It looks to be in a lot better shape than the one on Copper Coins.
Edit: Sorry, but Coop knows. It's easy to see it when he points it out.

The problem is that it is not a DDO. Just a nice BU coin.

Yes, with MD, the side by side shows it well. And the lack of class 6 doubling.

I would have posted it too. Those side by sides are the jank! Better luck on the next one O-F. This is for the side by sides. Since your post is the first appropriate time I've been able to use a thumbs down....this is for this coin - jk

But the nice thing is that the subject was covered, the solution and the why it wasn't that die. Don't feel embarrassed. It was a leaning even for all readers. How to view coin images side by side, what to look for, what isn't there. Its all a learning process.
