It does look like acid ate some of it can you weigh it?

I'm asking for a friend. I don't have the coin. So I can't weigh it. He informed me he doesn't have a scale.

It's possible it corroded and was cleaned in a strong chemical leaving that grainy surface.

PMD if rippled die the rims would not be affected.
