Something is off with the date on the first coin. A 1793 Mexican 2 reales should have the bust of Charles the fourth on the obverse. Can you tell if the third digit in the date was tampered with?

According to Krause the 4 pence is worth:

VG $7
F $10
VF $23
EF $60

The Spanish-Mexican coin is from the reign of King Ferdinand VI, so your possible date-range is 1746 to 1759. Your coin is actually "1753"; judging by examples in Krause, that's the normal shape for a "5" on this series. KM# 86.1, CV $35 in Fine back when my Krause was printed in 2002.

Sap is correct, the date on your coin is 1753 and 2 reales like that circulated in the US as legal tender until 1857 when they were declared to no longer be legal tender. They were the equivilent of a US quarter dollar (2 bits).
