My guess would be a well placed die chip. I do however see a S/S/S. Nice find. I'm curious to see what others have to say about the date. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm going thru 'The Authoritative Reference on Buffalo nickels (2nd edition) and it's not listing your coin. The fact that I see s/s/s doubling, but nothing on the 'E' and 'C' directly above it should give you hope. Report this Post to the Staff
