Can't really tell with the plastic, maybe struck on a larger planchet or cooler a loonie cap.

Could be, but needs better photos weight stuff like that, if right weight probably some manufacturing defect, not worth anything but if other reasons really cool.

I'd consider sending it in to be graded myself.

The dents on both sides are aligned, so I'm guessing something must have gotten pushed hard again it at some point. You've also got a strike through wire or something else above the loon, on both sides of the maple leaf

Hmmm I forgot about this thread lol sorry

I dont want to cut the coin out because then people could say that its a PMD. Keeping it in the mint package maintains the fact that it is some sort of mint error/damage.

I can't get clearer pics because the plastic distorts the image so badly :/

It looks like a normal loonie that's just been slammed by something. The marks are aligned on both sides of the coin.

Anybody figure out what it is? :(

Lot clearer pics, looks like maybe the bulk bin doors closed on this loonie causing the marks on both side of the rim, not as cool as I first thought. Someone might have better explanation, but not much of an error to speak of except it's in it's original packaging.

I totally disagree. Too much metal around the edges for a properly fitting collar from what I am seeing.

If this is case, need a weight I guess or press a regular loonie against this example to see if this example is larger.
