Where do you find the rules? I do not claim the win, by the way, just wondering where are the rules found?

Deadmummy said right there "I do not claim the win" But I am right behind the dead mummy and I say here "I claim the win".

Oh come on now, you gotta give it to me!! I claimed it!

I realize the Deadmummy doesn't know the rules, and was actually posting to ask what you have to do to win which technically would make deadmummy the winner because s/he was the first to post (that handn't already won) if it hadn't been for the fact that by the words of his/her post s/he would have won, but as s/he said right there "I do not claim the win" so although they were technically the first to post and get the win, they declined their claim to the win. Which I am hereby claiming!

I CLAIM THE WIN! See?

(Oh for the love of all that is numismatic, if I don't win this stupid contest soon, I'm going to explode. I hate watching this thing and always seeing it 5 minutes after somebody else posted to win.)

deadmunny -
The rules are simple. First person to reply wins. On the regular PIF you can't have won before on the PIF level two you must have won a regular PIF first. The person who posted the topic will mail the winner a prize. The winner then starts their own new topic and waits to send a prize to someone else. You were the first person to reply here that hasn't won but I think as per forum rules you'll need to wait until you actually have 50 posts. So I think Karrlot wins this one.

Actually I don't think you have to have 50 posts. All of the buy, trade, sell forums say on the main page that you must have 50 posts. They are listed under "Members only". They each have a 'sticky' that says that you must have 50 posts. The contest/giveaway forum doesn't have any of those. I thought there used to be a sticky under this one that said "Contest rules - there are no rules, do whatever you want"

I dunno about deadmunny, but I reckon if he wanted to claim the prize, he should win it... If he doesn't, then its probably yours karrlot...

Boy oh Boy.

I went to sleep and woke up too "Pay it forward"gate.

Arthene: Looking back on the original post it seems the "50 post rule" was waived for this contest.

Unless deadmunny would like to officially concede on the prize, now that the rules are known, this decision is going to have to be decided by a jury.

I think I will have to post a poll for the whole community to decide.

Let me add another perspective. What if Deadmunny discovered that there was something in the rules that they did not like? What if they did not want to send something out? What if they will be moving soon and could not commit to taking part in the contest? Would Deadmunny be required to participate because they replied first asking about the parameters of the contest? I am in no way taking a side here. I just wanted to demonstrate that the question was asked, and the win was explicitly not claimed, in the interest of understanding the contest. Deadmunny was not aware of the consequences of posting the question and we have not heard back if they are interested.

Just a little stirring the pot to start the morning...

I think the 'rules' for the PIF should be pointed [a link] within the next person's announcement of their

As there are new members who want to participate in the PIF. This way there is no confusion.

In addition , since this is the #26th...the 'rules' has gotten 'lost' and by posting the 'follow the rules', a new member may or may not know where or how to 'find' these rules, which is why a link to "the Rules" should be added to all who are participating in the Play It Forward game from here and continuously......

I agree with Mila_. If everyone who starts a new PIF posts a link to the rules or just copies the rules into their post, it should be sufficient.
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved
