Hi there! I needed some input from real people who are knowledgeable in this kind of field. What I have here are two $20 notes, both are series 1977. I received them as payment for a meal while waiting one night where I work, unfortunately we had to use the pen to verify they were legitimate bills because we didn't want to accept $60 in fake bills (unfortunately I had to pay out the other one, however that bill looked just fine), so I understand that more than likely greatly devalued the bills. What I noticed is that the front face looks cut improperly (on the bottom and left side), as you can tell by the side-by-side images. As shown in another picture, you can see from the reverse side that the 'TWENTY DOLLARS' is slightly below the 'TWENTY DOLLARS' on the reverse side. Another imperfection I just noticed is that on the bill in question, the long, faint letters on the seal of the department of treasury are slightly are shifted to the right maybe 1/8-1/16".

This is just a case of bad centering and is within margin of error for the BEP. For it to have any extra value a piece of the design needs to be cut off/cut into. This series had quite a few issues/errors and for one to be valuable, it needs to be major and in great condition.

For a One Dollar or Two note I would keep it, but not for a Twenty
