I think this medallion is a freebie/giveaway/museum gift shop type item but what is it representing ? Just wondered if it might be Edward I .
diameter 35mm weight 13g.

It might even be a movie prop item. It doesn't promote anything, so that would be my best guess.

A lo0t of the coastal area's here in the states that have had pirate activity in the past have giveaways during their festivals for tourists possibly an are along your coast. Or the pirate hunters depending on the side that brings in more tourist dollars.

It resembles the obverse and diameter of a gold noble.
The noble was first issued by Edward III and continued to Edward IV.

The inscription reads in medieval letters:

H ENRI C DI GRA REXANGL FRANC DNS HYB

This translates more or less to:

Henry by grace of God King of England and France and Lord of Ireland.

So this is intended to imitate the Noble of Henry (IV, V or VI).

Medieval letters are hard to read as many of them are similar

Some "interesting " ideas but as I thought originally, probably a gift shop item at a museum/stately home etc. Good to know what it represents.
