It's been a long time since I purchased anything from ebay and I'm not sure if this is worth the price. What is your input? I'd like to buy in lots to have a better chance to find something good but I don't have large amounts of money to buy large and sell off extra. Any input will be appreciated.

I've never found an "unsearched" lot actually as claimed. The one time I bought an "unsearched" lot there were weird statistical anomalies in the date spread for coins that made it an obviously picked and seeded lot. I've heard the same from others. Unless you come across an individual with their own cache saved over the years. Otherwise, it's always in the seller's favor.

You'll do better finding something of value in your change, because it's actually random. Unlike auctions of this type.

Lst me add my voice to the choir - NO! It isn't logical to believe that if there were vauable coins in the lot that they wouldn't have been searched and removed. They claim this is a lot purchased from someone that saved all their change 50 years ago, and yet they claim it has Large Cents, and Flying Eagle cents. That is BS - I was a kid collecting in those days and those coins didn't show up in my change. My advice is to decide what you want to collect and look for those coins specifically after learning about grading and pricing. Good luck!

How can they say it's unsearched and then start telling you how many of each coin you will get and what will/won't be in every three lots? Because it's been searched and sorted! I might have missed it, but I couldn't see how many coins you will actually receive. I did see that there were 43 lots and have to wonder why so few with all those overspilling beer kegs?

I would pass on this and spend my $$ on something else - like a coin(s) could see, date and grade before bidding. A much better investment than playing this "lottery."
