Seeing all of those beautiful early U.S coin some members have posted recently prompted me to put together this thread which includes all of the major 1795 types in my collection - excluding the gold issues of course! Please Excuse that all of the picture backgrounds and style (and quality!) are so different- they were taken at different times with different cameras as I explored ways to improve my poor picture taking skills. 1795 Half Cent: Lettered Edge Variety 1795 Cent - Plain Edge variety 1795 Cent - Lettered Edge variety (the picture does not do the coin justice) 1795 Half Dime: 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar: 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar - another 1795 Draped Bust Dollar: 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar: Edited by GERMANICVS 03/20/2016 07:22 am

Wow. These coins whet my appetite. Nice eagles on the silver, especially the second half dollar.

Nice set of coins! I know how hard it is to find these pieces, let alone paying for them.
I exhibited my set of 1795 coins at a FUN show four or five years ago. It came in second for the U.S. coin category in part because I didn't have a 1795 Draped Bust Dollar. (The Flowing Hair and the Draped Bust designs were both issued in 1795.) I had all of the others including the gold.
