Figured this would be the best place to post this one. Impulse buy that I probably only won because it ended at like 3:45 AM EST.

262337615271

The Russian coins are easy enough (10 kopek 1838, 1 Denga 1753, 1/2 kopek 1809 (?), 1 kopek 1874, 1 kopek (?) 1852... plus a 1743 Sweden 1 Ore) but I can't identify the rest from the pics. They all seem to be pretty solidly made and in good shape, so I entered what I felt to be a safe bet. The seller has outstanding reviews and was upfront when selling replicas, so I feel good about these being genuine.

Anything stand out? Was the price fair? This is a pretty new area of numismatics for me.

The 10 Kopek 1838 is probably worth the price of the bid, assuming that it is VF or better.

I see a couple from Livonia in the lot. Do an all dates search for "Livonia" in the world coins section of Vcoins and you'll be able to get i.d.s on those.

I also see a Nuremberg jeton of, I believe, Hans Krauwinckel II.

How common are the coins from Livonia? The seller has a bunch listed for $0.99, and nobody is touching them. I put in my chips since additional items ship for $0.50 each, and a 350+ year old silver coin is always a good deal at $1.50 in my books.

Lot arrived yesterday!

Bad news is that I am almost positive the 10 kopek (which was the centerpiece of the lot) is a modern reproduction.

Good news is that the rest of the coins look good, so this will be a break even lot at worst.

There is at least one that I will need help with, but I have most of the rest identified. I'll post them here if anyone wants to see.

Also flagged to move to the world section, since most of these coins are made after 1600.
