This LB looks weird to me, but I don't have a well-trained eye like the rest of you.

One problem is that you are using two light sources. This makes the image look different. One light source is best for micro photos. For full image of the coin some use two light sources. (I just use one for micros and full image shots)

Why the problem with two light sources? When you outline the devices in two directions, the area where the two meet shows what looks like a notch when it is just a light illusion. Note on the image above the area to the right of the initials. You can see a light source from the lower left and also on the upper right in that area.

On the 'L' there is an dark area on the lower SE part of that device. If you rotated the coin a bit, that will go away. A single light source gives a light to dark on a coins devices. Where there is a taper in the design, the light will get darker quickly showing a rounded edge by the light turning light to dark. So shut off one light source and then the device will look normal.

From a single light source you can see the light and the fading to dark better. Note the example below:

If the device is hub doubled, it will show a spread. (enlarged) If the device is normal size, then it is not hub doubled.

The lights are coming from the inside of my USB microscope. It is the only way I can get close enough to see some of the smaller DD errors. There is a ring of LEDs inside the unit. I will try a different setup to see if I can get a clearer shot.
Thanks Coop!

If you can turn them off or cover all but one. That might be a solution. A book light will probably work good for you as a light source.

You can get these off ebay in the musical instrument lighting area. They work great for small scopes.
