The moneyer/mint marks M L on the rev suggest that the attribution should be Clemente & Cayon #2947. The coin is not dated, as you point out, but can be safely estimated to the late 1530s or early 1540s. Yours is a nice example, despite the edge clipping. An attribution is the correct combination of a reference book along with the specific number of that coin in the reference book. In this case, I believe your coin is a C&C #2947.
