Mintmark looks wrong so I am saying fake.

No real area of concern. I just knew there were lots of fakes out there and these are not my area of expertise. I wanted the opinion of everyone at CCF before I made the purchase.

The coin looks to be genuine, but the Trade dollar is the ONE coin you need buy certified or get certified. The number counterfeits is staggering. |

This poster correct...According to Gobrecht Journal it is a 2M/2M variety. These Types are not recognized as of now but BIG changes are coming real soon!

I can't bring up the reverse, but the obverse appears to be genuine.  Just a concern: there does seem to be some wavy deformation on the right side obverse denticles. Any damage on the reverse?  |
