I just picked up a very nice 1883
Seated dime. I'm trying to figure out the Fortin variety. On the Fortin website
http://www.seateddimevarieties.com/...3varpage.htmthere are a few criteria but most important is the Obverse "denticle ruler". Here you drop a vertical down from Liberty's shield point to the denticles this denticle becomes zero. Denticles to the right are numbered 1,2,3.., and denticles to the left are numbered -1,-2,-3...
now drop a vertical from the left edge of the foot of the one in the date. Record the denticle this vertical falls on.
My coin I think is a DR0 meaning it falls just to the right of denticle zero. Since there are also die clashes and cracks I think my dime is a F-113. Do members here agree?
Also any guesses on the grade?
