So I just came across this coin and have literally no idea what is going on with it as I don't see a year or anything... Any help would be much appreciated as I am completely lost to what it is let alone the value or anything. Thanks in advance!

Looks like the coin was altered. But it looks like it is a silver coin, so it does have some value. If it is a clad coin, then when it gets back to the bank they will turn it back into the mint for re-cycling. Post strike damage.
