I'm able to get more for this price just making sure it's a good deal. I love it since it's so old and only my 2nd gold coin. Report this Post to the Staff

billjones Pillar of the Community United States 1499 Posts	Posted 03/23/2016 4:15 pm The piece has been cleaned and there are obvious hairlines on the reverse which would make it a "no grade." BUT it is a "No Motto" type half eagle which makes it a lot scarcer than the averge $5 gold coin. It's a great place holder for the price. Report this Post to the Staff

Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6394 Posts	Posted 03/23/2016 6:22 pm AU-55 details and a very good deal for $300. I don't see any obvious damage and hairlines aren't that bad. Overall it has a polished look but not unattractive. I would certainly have bought it at that price! Report this Post to the Staff
