would like some opinions as to what is a fair price to pay for a 32 coin Dansco Ike dollar collection. Don't believe the outer box is included, not sure. Album is in great condition, coins are well above average. not all super.looks like $125-$175 is the E-Bay range,is that too high? Thanks

They tend to sell between $150-250 if all are BU depending on the quality of the coins. Although I've seen some go for more but thats usually when 2 cherrypickers think they see an ms date(s) that might be gem (ms66 and up)

Took a look at Greysheet, set of Ike's with proofs $155.
Dealers would buy for less and try to sell for a little more

Thank You both! I have a year old greysheet, now I know what a single set refers to! DUH! They are likely worth $100-125 then. If I buy them right, can always upgrade

Quote:Value of Ike dollar collection in 32 coin Dansco album Priceless. Well, mine is since it is not for sale. Kidding aside, I think you are on the right track with price and room for upgrades.

If you figure close to the $150 price you won't be too long or short.

I have been putting off starting a set myself but yesterday while at my LCS I noticed a stack of 8 or 10 various Danscos on the counter. I always put my own sets together rather than buy a "per made" set but one of them was an Eisenhower in a very nice shape new Dansco. It was priced at $185 and had some pretty nice coins in it. All MS - PR coins (no varieties) I was buying some other items so I had he ask the owner if $185 was their best price and he came down to $172. I was happy and I like to support the local shops when I can, plus see and hold my coins v/s buying online. Happy Girl!

Debra I am surprised you did not have a Ike set, but good to know you do now. Of course I am in the Ike army, I think everyone should have a set ... or two ...or ten .....

I bought my dansco set about 2 or 3 years ago for $199 and thought that was high. I built same set at around $100 from what I can tell in my notes.

So you have two sets for about $300. I call that a win.
