I just got back from the bank today, but unfortunately, I wasn't careful in checking the bills I was handing over, and accidently gave a 20 dollar bill I had entered to Where's George and the teller immediately started asking questions. I explained that I put the stamp there so I could see where my money went, and she responded with "oh well we can't hand these bills out because customers don't like marked money" which I find funny since I get bills with writing on them all the time from there  I was wondering where the best place to spend marked 20s would be, since I assume if a small business makes a deposit to a bank like this, it's the end of the line for those bills. I heard larger businesses get an armored car service which puts the bills in ATMs so maybe that would be an option, but in the mean time, I learned a harsh truth that my bank doesn't like marked bills. The bill is legal tender as long as it is entire and recognizable as a genuine bill. Your bank is blowing smoke, put it in the night deposit with some others with a deposit slip, they'll take it.

I think Walmart gets their currency/coin from a delivery service such as Brinks, Gardia, etc. |

Yep, they took my marked bill, but I think it had a detrimental effect on my relationship with the tellers there, so I'll probably need to find a new regular pickup bank to use. Luckily, I test for my driver's license in less than a month so I shouldn't have to frequent this branch too much longer.
