I am finding out that the easiest way to take nice coin pictures is to only take pictures of nice coins.

Here is a 1959 D Roosevelt dime for your grading/viewing pleasure.

I's real nice ,I guess I'm being too critical of the brush lines on the fields of this coin . but I'm realizing that this photo has such a high resolution and high magnification thus making this coin in reality a gem and a half. MS-67+ I Don't believe it's Full Torch.

T-BOP, I hadn't heard the lines called "brush lines" before. I like that term. The size of these coins make small nicks seem larger in pictures, especially if you are used to looking at halves or dollars. Not sure if it matters in the final grade or not.

Here is the slab picture, MS66FT, I personally think this could have been a 67, but it took a pretty good hit on the obverse. It appears that it starts on the rim around 11 o'clock, with most of the damage in the hair, then hits the bottom of the ear, and possibly continues on the rim at 5 o'clock. It actually doesn't jump out, even when looking through a loupe, I noticed it when I was photographing it. Thanks to everyone who played along, I have another dime to post later today, after I get some pics taken.

the polish lines are real prominent on this one. I had it at MS66 but I can't see where they get an FT designation on this one.the right side of the upper band does not appear to be fully separated as well as the lower part of the torch body

The problem with pictures of coins is you cant rotate them to see luster, or get the light to highlight a particular area. Although this coin isn't as well struck as some others, the bands are fully separated top and bottom. I will have to check to see if I have any worse than this that were given the FT or SB designation.

Here is a picture with one light, low angle. It seems to highlight the torch and bands a bit better. Is this still a questionable FT coin to you guys, or does the lighting change your opinion?

I think it is FT.
I notice the big obviously two scratches in the hair
So MS66FT is fair.
Rest in Peace
