Colinh New Member United Kingdom 5 Posts	Posted 03/29/2016 4:14 pm Hi All I am far from a coin expert but recently inherited around 30 old coins from my Grandpa who passed away this year. From the intial research I have done I have begun to learn about many of them but two interest me the most and I want to see if anyone here can shed any further light on them. It came from a wealthy relative and an antique expert that owned it from youth till his passing in his 90's, so hopefully ok. Report this Post to the Staff

But I believe yours (1st medal) is a Thomas Fairfax (1612-1671)silver military reward. http://www.mhcoins.co.uk/coins/hamm...tary-reward/ This one has the lettering around the edge of both sides like yours does.
