A recent pick up, it was listed as 1794 and sellers photos were not good. I received it today and the flip had 1794 S-44.

I believe it is 1794, head of 1795 and I am pretty sure it is S-70, due to the die crack between the T and Y of LIBERTY. Typical weakly struck reverse but has some details, obverse a lot better.

edit: lettered edge "one hundred for a dollar" weight=13.3G

Grading opinions and variety welcomed! Thanks! RK

I have to go AG-3 because of the reverse. I've posted a high grade example of one of these coins to show why the reverse on these coins often so weak. The obverse makes the Good grade quite easily.

Even though it "only" grades AG-03, it is still a nice representative example. The obverse is really nice for the grade. The reverse, as is mostly true for these, is weak struck. No obvious signs of cleaning, which is a HUGE Plus.

I agree that is an S-70, and a nice one. No major surface imperfections. Solid AG-3 grade.
