RCD-1c-1958D-01R may be seen here:

I do not know quite what to do with this one. I am thinking it is this one but at a slightly different stage. Any opinions? (Pardon my photo - I had to splice 2 photos together!)

Nice find looks like I can make out some vertical displacement there how about horizontal offset see any? You only need one or the other tho I believe to be a retained cud-looks to my eyes anyway to be a pretty close match to the one you picked...also looking closer now I think yours is a little further along than the one listed

Thanks, Slamnbass - I had forgotten to look for the displacement. I agree that there is some, not much - but some. I guess that I am still questioning whether it is the same as I have identified on the Cuds site, because the crack towards the end of the wheat ear goes further up the ear. I guess that I do not understand how these things develop and progress. Mine goes up as far as the end of the ear on the right side, whereas the example does not even make it past the C. So does that mean my coin has just had the crack extended and is basically the same?

I decided to check further and looked at LIBERTY. I am not certain about it, but mine could be a later state than the example. I then did an overlay of the date/mintmark (I can't post it because I do not have permission to use their image [yet]) but it matches.

So I think mine is a match for the example in a later stage. See the following photos. Opinions?

Pete: Most places will allow you to post their images, if you give them credit for their images on the picture. I do that a lot. Just look at my images and you will see where the image came from.

That must be the key...I am so dense I probably would never have thought of placing the credit on the picture.

Thanks!
