Hi all! My name is Ashley. I've been following your site for awhile. I thought it was time to join. I have a lot of various coins and a few bills, but I don't consider myself an avid collector. My mom gave me a small bag of stuff she kept (1935 $1 bill, 1957 $5 bill, $5 in silver dimes, etc). Since she gave me those a few years back, I've been more interested, just the lack of funds. But I've acquired quite a few new ones. Just this morning I found a 1939, 1941 and a 1959 Jefferson nickel in my work's cash drawer that made me pretty excited. So it made me want to get back into coin collecting more and learn more about what I already have and what to watch out for in the future. I'm sure I'll continue to learn a lot from you guys as I already have! |

Thank you all for the welcomings :) It's good to see so many Michiganders on here! I just moved back home after spending a year in Chicago. I'm not sure why I did when it's 50 degrees and sunny there!
John1 - I am in the northern region. Close to the Mackinaw bridge.
