I found this 1953 D nickel, looks like a RPM. I would like if you experts could tell me your thoughts.

It is flat. RPMs are raised as they are punched into the die. Something damaged it.

I checked on this 1953 D, and there is a RPM, but doesn't look like mine:( But as I looked closer at the reverse there is doubling on the words State Of America. Is this Machine Doubling then? Here are some close up pictures.

That is machine damage. Note on the rest of the devices in your pictures. You can see the MD on the right side of AMERICA. Not a RPM.

Let me say you have my admiration looking closely at a coin like this. You could have found an "ugly ducking." I took the easy way out looking at uncirculated coins.

Now the bad, .
