Can I ask why you would want to keep it ? This is what I would do ; Go to your nearest pond or lake ,make a wish and throw it as far as you can into the water. Just sayin !

 don't worth keep cause it's easy to find another one in better shape , by the way , why you're asking ? Anything special on that coin that we didn't see ?

Extremely common coin...no reason to fret about keeping it, you can find another one in your pocket change today most likely....  (I'm assuming you're putting together a Lincoln Memorial coin folder...and you can find a better quality hole filler)

Quote: if it is a copper cent! Considering it shows zinc rot that's unlikely.  The only reason a 1983 like this would be worth keeping would be if it was the doubled die, which it isn't.
