Before I begin, let me be clear that I'm not saying this seller is selling fakes. However, This German seller is offering what (as far as I know) are quite expensive coins for very, VERY, low prices. I found this fella while searching the 'Bay for Pilgrim halves at an affordable price. I'm tempted to go on a shopping spree from this fella, but I know a few of these coins are quite desirable, but are in a suspiciously good level of shape and extremely low price, so I thought it'd be best to consult y'all before I do something stupid. What do you guys think about this? Do you think his selection is real? The Link to the Seller's Items: http://www.ebay.com/sch/enna2/m.htm..._ipg=&_from=

If you look down the lower part of each listing, it states they are copies.

Ah, my bad. Seems quite misleading to not put that in the title though.

Quote: Before I begin, let me be clear that I'm not saying this seller is selling fakes He DOES mention in every post that I looked at that the coins are "imitation/copies" with "no value". So yes; technically they are fakes.

Several counterfeit Morgan dollars were recently on the bay and Bobby got them removed. There was also a fellow selling replica coins which he had clearly stated were replicas. Bobby got him shut down too. At first I briefly felt bad for the guy because he was honest about it, but I quickly realized that the coins were all from the same mold, with the same markings on the reverse. So even though the guy was honest about the coins being replicas, the fact that they were not marked as copies (as required by law) made them eligible for a quick flip by unscrupulous sellers who described them as the real McCoy. Bobby did the right thing and, unless the coins are stamped as copies, AgHoarder is right too.

I am far from an expert about counterfeit coins but I can spot that these are fakes right away. These coin shaped objects look like zombie coins, massed produced with laser engraved dies and using cheep base metals. Oops! I just described modern US coins.
