Got tired of seeing this on the bay, bought it cause it looked interesting. No good pics of my own, but it's a legit 'ridge'. What do y'all think?

You might weight it when it comes in? It maybe a thinned planchet? Without the reverse image at this point it is just a guess.

It loos like the die has cracked and sunk on one side of the crack.

This is exactly what I was thinking. It doesn't look like PMD, the 'S' is all there, and the rim details disappear right along the line/crack.
Are FE die cracks common? Not something I recall seeing allot of. I wonder if this coin has any brothers out there with the same line/crack?
