What do you all think about the "6" in the 2016 proof dimes? When I first looked at it, I thought I had some strange sort of error, but the date was the same on all my sets (vertically elongated six that looked really stupid). Basically the 2, 0, and 1 are all normal. The 6 is "tall" and elongated.

I don't see a difference between this 6 and the 6 in 2006 dimes, but I don't like it much either. the bowl should be a bit smaller like in the 60's.

My one and only 2016 dime is not with me. I will need to take a look at it later.

Does anyone have a photo?

There's a GREAT close-up in this thread posted very recently.

And yeah, the 6 IS a bit odd.

Oh, there is a photo!

It looks normal to me.

With Oldstyle Figures, the numbers six and eight typically have ascenders, while three, four, five, seven, and nine have descenders.

It looks a bit odd to me as well. Jbuck, can you elaborate further by what you mean by ascenders and descenders? I followed your link but didn't really get what you were saying.

The font used my the mint is on that has non-lining (old style) figures (numerals).

If you look at this image from the article, you can see that the six is supposed to look like that compared the one, two, and zero...
