Namssob New Member United States 40 Posts	Posted 04/11/2016 7:43 pm What do you all think about the "6" in the 2016 proof dimes? When I first looked at it, I thought I had some strange sort of error, but the date was the same on all my sets (vertically elongated six that looked really stupid). Basically the 2, 0, and 1 are all normal. The 6 is "tall" and elongated. Report this Post to the Staff

wadahek Valued Member United States 142 Posts	Posted 04/11/2016 8:23 pm I don't see a difference between this 6 and the 6 in 2006 dimes, but I don't like it much either. the bowl should be a bit smaller like in the 60's. Report this Post to the Staff

With Oldstyle Figures, the numbers six and eight typically have ascenders, while three, four, five, seven, and nine have descenders. If you look at this image from the article, you can see that the six is supposed to look like that compared the one, two, and zero...
