Pitted and silvery...hmmm. Obviously, there shouldn't be anything silvery about these IHCs, as the bronze cents tend to corrode toward the dark end. It could be someone used a chemical to clean corroded IHCs that left that silvery appearance. The other possibility is they're copies, and the details should betray those coins. The denticles are usually a good place to compare...pressure-cast or spark erosion coins often have mushy or uneven denticles. Other places to compare are the size of the date punches, position of the feathers to AMERICA, and type of "N" in ONE on the reverse. Whatever the outcome, a pitted coin has limited collector value (oh, I suppose an '77 would be an exception, lol). Like someone has said "There is no price too cheap for a problem coin"
