Hi, we bought a 1934 Texas Commemorative half dollar BU. The coin weighs 12.45 grams. The coin should weigh 12.5 grams-in the Coin World, is 12.45 grams rounded up to 12.5? Should we be concerned, or is that weight fluctuation normal?

I think that is within the tolerance range. I have not seen a counterfeit Texas commemorative half before.

If you can snap some pictures, you will get better input from everyone.

Yes, welcome! I don't feel that is enough to be worried about. Haven't seen a fake that close yet...I say, yet...Pics' would help. probably a pleasing coin.

Possibly because of the intricate design elements Texas is not a coin I've seen counterfeited. Photos would help. The variance you mention is within tolerance.
