I've been corresponding with JC at COC's trying to figure out what BIE varieties I have. For the life of me, I cannot seem to find the varieties when cruising through the listings. But yet, when I send a pic to JC, it comes up listed . I don't want to be a PITA and send photos of everything when they're already listed.

For instance, attached is a pic of a BIE I have. From what I can tell, it would be a tossup with LDB4-1957D-039, 044, 059 or 068. The 068 seems to me to be the closest. No other markers that I can tell. So, is it a 068 or something else? This is my dilemma with others I haven't ID'd yet.

Any advice or info is greatly appreciated.

I don't think it is the 068 because you break goes higher up on the "B" The 57D is tough because there are so many of them.

This coin has a lot of wear. The Bie probably appears a lot different than when it was minted.

Just a die chip and the lower post on the 'B' has broken off the die. That is not a die break. Often referred to as a BIE, but a chip formed between those devices.
