Father-in-Law's mother was given these for payment of work when money was tight. Don't know anything else about these three coins/token/medallion? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The coins are in order - meaning one side then the other. The first coin lettering translates to "Love Letters From The Safety of Glory", and the other side translates to "Under The Auspices Friderici M.D. Badarum"
The second coin translates "But The Industry Is Not A Reward Ticket" and the other side is same as first.
The third coin translates "Is Deserving" and the other side is similar.
All three have the same family name - "William Armbruster" and "Edmund Armbruster"
Any ideas?

I think that these are special achievement medals given out to students who excelled in certain aspects of their studies. The engraved names (Arbruster) are the recipients. Certainly German states, probably Baden specifically. I'm quite sure they are silver, but I don't know of any numismatic value beyond sentimental or intrinsic from the metal itself. Very interesting bits of Germany though.

Prize medals! These are among my most favourite numismatic items that I don't actually have any of (yet).
