nice looking XF45 coin. Great color with no big flaws. Not sure if grading fees would be recouped vs selling it raw. Nice coin.

Are you sure that it is genuine.
I ask because I saw a similar looking fake at my LCS, you would easily tell if it was that one because the weight was off.
I hope it is real, but suggest that you check.

I see very little rub and nearly flawless fields and devices. Not a strong strike, most of obverse is flat.

The color is hard to determine from the pictures.

TPG grade AU58BN (if there's a little rub) to MS63BN (if not)

I don't know that I'd spend the money to slab it, but then again, most of my copper is unslabbed.

1855 had two major hoard varieties, so there are quite a few high grade examples of this date to be had.

The coin makes one of the AU grades if it has some luster. The details indicate that it could be has high as AU-55.
