I ask because I saw a similar looking fake at my LCS, you would easily tell if it was that one because the weight was off. I hope it is real, but suggest that you check. Report this Post to the Staff

paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 04/17/2016 02:27 am EF? I see very little rub and nearly flawless fields and devices. Not a strong strike, most of obverse is flat. The color is hard to determine from the pictures. TPG grade AU58BN (if there's a little rub) to MS63BN (if not) I don't know that I'd spend the money to slab it, but then again, most of my copper is unslabbed. 1855 had two major hoard varieties, so there are quite a few high grade examples of this date to be had.
