Ok, I didn't look properly but the seller says this is a Chinese coin. I however think its from Japan. The problem is that I'm not able to find out what this really is. For the price I paid which is aprox 10% over spot inc fees it a bit fun and the mintage is 200 it seems.

Anyone who can help? By that I mean which coin is it, what value might it have according to listings etc.

Hope that this description really describes what you are going to get. Your getting a numismatic product. If the ingot is really 1.25 oz then you still have to find a dealer who will take it off you for somewhere near spot.

Good luck!

The listing says it is Japanese. Where did you get China?

The URL contains "Chinese-1st-Day-..."
Maybe they changed the title after the auction started.
Of course that is a 2,000 yen note.
The ingot is definitely not a coin.

It was sold by the Franklin Mint.
The weight does not appear to be on the COA.
1.25 oz would be 38.88 grams, so it is not unreasonable.
This is from the year 2000, when gold was under $300/oz.
