In my estimation, it is an AU 55. I'm not sure if I want to bother having it certified, as I have been doing my own grading for close to 50 years.

It looks purple .. there has got to be a foreign substance on it .. renaissance wax?

I'm sorry. The purple color is due to pictures taken under fluorescent lights. I will be more careful. I tried to post more pictures, but apparently one cannot edit after 24 hours. The actual color is closer to the picture showing 894, but the coin is just as beautiful. There is no foreign substance, as it has been rinsed in acetone.
