Here is what I consider to be one really strange error coin.
1913 Uniface Rev. Obv. Brockage Off Metal
Barber dime on Silver Foreign Planchet Struck by a Double Struck or Double Die coin.
It came to me in rather sorry shape from harsh cleaning sometime in the past. Pics are not too good but all I have.
The coin appears to be on an underweight silver foreign planchet.
It is uniface on one side. The almost blank uniface side of coin appears to have something else going on. Perhaps it was some design that got real messed up. It is not sanded smooth as can be seen in pics.
There is reeding on the coin. The reeding is not struck up very well as would be expected from a smaller underweight planchet.
There is a partial brockage that appears to have been imparted into the coins surface on the other side of coin.
The brockage was probably made by another coin that had been double struck or was possibly a doubled die coin. This can be seen in the doubling of the D of united.
Look at the denticles under the date and notice that they are not doubled. Nor is the date, or profile. Just the D.
This coin appears to be a mint made error.
I showed it to David Hall last year along with a another error. We talked a bit as we had not seen each other in many years. As I was leaving he pointed to this coin and said "That's a Nice Coin".
To my knowledge there are only 4-5 barber off metal coins known.
Here are the pics.....Comments? .....G.

Here are a few more pics. The centermost reeding in pic is the actual reeding on coin.
