Hi All,

I inherited a larger coin collection many years ago but only recently have I started to research the many different varieties. My collection has a large amount of Canadian coins and my knowledge is limited. (my family is from Southern California).

Is this 1965 a large bead variety?

Any insight would be much appreciated.

With these pictures, it's hard to tell if it's a large bead for sure. I think it's a small bead. Have a look here as this may help you identify your coin's variety.

Can't determine from those pics.
Count the beads on the obverse (queen) side, small beads has 119 beads, large beads has 138.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Cec, this is a small beads.
Easy way to tell, count the beads over GIN you want to go from the bead directly over the end of the G and directly over the first post of the N. Small beads has 5 beads... Large beads has 6 beads.
Easy way to tell even with very blury pics.

i agree. that was small bead.
However, I went through many other 65's in the collection and think I have found a large bead.

Please let me know what you think?

images should show the difference between the previous coin and the new.

It's another small bead.
Count the beads, 119.
Count the beads above II, 2.
Count the beads over GIN, 5.
Why ask for our help in identifying if you refuse to use the markers we gave you?
