Hi everyone, I just picked up these three medieval Catalan Dinars. I assume that they are all Barcelona Mint, but I am not quite able to make out the actual name of the Catalan King. Are they all Jaume II? Thanks!

@archraz, pics with each coin separate would help with the attribution process.

I think that I can make out enough of the legend on the left and center coins to confirm that they are from Jaime I (1276-85). Rev legend is IA-CO-BR-EX. As far as the obv legend goes, it should be BARQVINO or BARQVINONO, which I'm having a little difficulty reading in these letters. It looks more like BARCVINONA or some other variation.

The right coin has the ruler name on the obv. I think I can make out IACOBVS REX, which would suggest Jaime II (1327-33). The rev legend seems to read BA-CI-NO-NA.

Nice coins--thanks for sharing this grouping!

echizento- Thanks! This could help!

spence- Yeah, the pics are not the absolute best. But these are the pics from the auction. I haven't received them in the mail yet. Thanks for the help reading the legends. The reverse inscriptions do make me wonder if they were minted outside of Barcelona.

My dinars just arrived. And I'm still having some issues reading them. Any further help or advice would be appreciated!
