Wow! Where did all of this come from? The gold coins are all Byzantine (c. 6th to 8th century?), so I assume the silver one, the gold box and the other items are from that time period as well. I don't have time to ID them as I have to leave in five minutes, but you can use this page: http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/byz/i.htmlI can't wait for results! EDIT: On second thought, the silver coin does not look Byzantine.

A museum may be a better place to enquire about these.

@alex852, quite a batch of stuff in this hoard. I wonder if someone put all of their valuables into one spot and then either died or you happened upon this hoard. Some things we can readily help you with, but others will be more difficult. I recommend that you seaparate the coins from everything else for posting. Then, take a pic of the front and back of each coin and post it separately. With everything all in a giant pile, it is hard to make out the necessary details for an accuracte attribution. Also, you will likely have better luck with our experts if the coins are separate because then the Sassanian isn't jumbled in with the Byzantine. Just my Two Cents...

Also, the bead on the blue background is called a Dzi bead. If it is real (Tibet from circa 1000 AD), then it is worth several thousand dollars or so. You can buy new Dzi beads made from bleached agate for ten bucks. I'm no expert, but yours looks newer to me.
