CC2012! I will show ya'll my favorite National Park quarter... The famous (okay not so famous) "ChildOfTheWheat" specimen of the Homestead Quarter DDR-004! Second ever found, I was in the Numismatic News for finding one. Tweak (one of our fellow members) discovered the variety and the article featured that. EDIT: Numismatic News Article: http://www.numismaticnews.net/artic...r-discoveredQuote: ...Atwood first reported his finds on the Internet based, Coin Community Family Forum. After his posts, one member, a young numismatist from Omaha, Neb., going by the handle, "ChildOfTheWheat," posted an image of the more major variety that he said he received for free at the Homestead quarter launch ceremony held at Beatrice High School, which is a few miles from the national monument that is depicted on the coin's reverse...

Nice one, CotW. What exactly is the error?
@AtB: I'm keeping pace with the annual set releases; right now just need the 2016 Proof and Ag Proof Mint sets. I'm missing a few of the "from circulation" coins, mostly the P-mint issues and late 2015 & 2016s.

2015 P Homestead Wexler's Doubled Die Reverse 4, one of the more major varieties. Note the handle of the water pump is actually doubled into another window!

I have all of the "P&D" from mint sets, and business strikes from the satin finish mint set years, as well as all the "S" mint business strikes offered to this point. I have the proofs and silver proofs from 2014 to date, as that is when I started collecting coins. My focus is elsewhere, but I plan to get all of the proofs in the future. I really like the series, as well as the State Quarters. Here is a picture of my most recent acquisition, although my silver proof set is in the mail! Unfortunately there is some spotting, but a really nice example, only a few small hits.

I think my favorite coin for 2016 is the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. Sorry for the bad picture, didn't feel like taking it out of the 2x2.

@CotW - cool. How would such an error occur? The doubling I'm used to seeing is much more subtle than that. I'll have to check my Homesteads!

The ATB's have been my favorite series to collect in a long time. They are tougher to find in Canada of course, but between that and my all too infrequent trips to America, I have managed to get from circulation 26 of 30 Philadelphia (first picture) and 25 of 30 Denver (second picture) up to the end of 2015.

The Silver Proof Set came today, so here is a better shot of the Theodore Roosevelt quarter, this time in 90% silver!
