1852-Silver-Three-Cent-Or- 1852-Silver-Three-Cent-Or-

A lot of collectors don't seem to like little coins, but I've enjoyed them since my days in elementary school. My first Silver Three Cent Piece was a 1851 that graded Fine in those days. It would be a VF today. I bought it from a lady who said she found in a field while she was plowing. It was in surprising good shape given the source. I could be believe how small and light that coins was.

At any rate here is the piece that currently fills the Type I hole in my type set. What grade would you give it?

MS 63 - 64. Nice strike in stars, shield definition on the outer edge is a little weak but overall a nice coin, IMHO.
Rest in Peace

Wow! I have a love/hate relation to the "trime." This coin sparked my interest after inheriting some coins.
MS-60 to be safe. Not sure of the rims reverse 11.00 to 1:00

I'll say 65 with a notable die clash seen on the inside of the "C" to the left of the "III"

I guess this one threw you a curve ball. PCGS graded this 1852 trime as an MS-66. It has original surfaces and good luster for the type. It about the best I've seen for one of these coins which was made from only 75% silver and 25% copper. That often results in unattractive toning.

I was actually going to say MS66. Beautiful. A lot nicer than my MS62.
