After looking at the counterfeit 1948 Silver dollar on the forum this one looks similar.

I agree, I don't see anything out of the ordinary... fields, details, toning all seem legitimate.
For reference, 'The Charlton Catalogue for Canadian Coins 2015' has a section on counterfeit 25c and 50c pieces, but that's no help here unfortunately.

What does anyone see that's not genuine? About as genuine as can be from my end. I guess that's part of the problem with counterfeits, everything becomes suspect.

I guess its people like me that the counterfeiters are after.

Don't be too hard on yourself..!!

I've been on here for awhile and because of that it's really helped me... stick around.. and hopefully you'll see a whole lot more examples... after awhile the easier ones really stand out!

redlee,the counterfeit 1948 $1 had the wrong obverse lettering on it.The lettering shown was for 1937 to 1947 $1..
