Russians also put (double-headed) eagles on their coinage: They (we) had been doing it for a while, actually (my oldest Russian coin with an eagle is from the 1700s - still looking for a 16th century example), but this is the only Russian coin with an eagle (indeed the only coin with a bird of any non-US country) that I have an already-uploaded photo of, apparently.

Here are a couple from around the world: I have always thought the 1st eagle on the German Empire coins was much more handsome than the later version... The Syrian eagle seems to have an Art deco look to it... And the New Zealand Kiwi... Well it is certainly an interesting looking creature!

Some interesting ones I haven't seen before. Here is another Bird Coin thread I started about 4 years ago. https://goccf.com/t/111087I love bird coins, they are my favourite, with Tiny coins my next favourite.

There is a silver Australian wedge tailed eagle set (not that I have any) in Australia.

Jbuck, the irony of that is yesterday morning I made a post on IG about how US coins love eagles. I had the pictures all ready to go. Sometimes timing is everything. lol
